Description
This pretty girl could be a great conversation piece in your collection! She has a bisque swivel head with nicely painted features, blue glass sleep eyes and two front upper teeth. But, her most unique feature is the trembling tounge. When she is laying down her little pink tounge flutters in her mouth, it is very noticeable and in great working order. Her body is composition and she is jointed at the shoulders and hips. The hands and feet are in fine condition. Her clothing is not original but is appropriate. I think the brown wig is mohair.
The composition body has a few scuffs that are shown in the photos, her eyelashes are sparse, shown in photo 9 and there is a small chip on her right shoulder.
The back of the head is well marked, Koppelsdorf Germany, 1330, A. 7. M.
I was told she dates to 1920. 19" in length
I purchased her last year at a doll auction, the estate of a collector who owned a doll museum years ago. I am not a doll collector but I do enjoy researching the ones I do buy to resell and I have done my best to represent her honestly.
