It is said that pictures are worth a 1,000 words but let me add just a few more in regards to specifics of this very unique doll. Size: approximately length is 9 inch (22 cm).
Material Used: This doll has a glazed china doll head and shoulders with a deep plate. Her hands/arms and boot/legs are glazed as well. Could be the original body which (what little I could see) looked antique and clean. Antique clothing including under-clothing which may be original including lace apron are all sewn on (including pantaloons). Not sure what she is stuffed with. I'm sorry but due to the fragility of the clothing, I will not attempt to remove it or accept a return if the clothing has been removed or missing.
Additional Information: This doll has an early head and high hair-brow hair style with black molded hair with comb marks. The light cotton dress is the length a young girl would have worn. She also has a chemise and petticoat (since I see a slight separation between them and where I glimpsed the body) and pantaloons. Although the doll looks original, there is no way to determine when it was put on her. The bottom of her black boot is glazed tan. Although her right boot is rough in texture, it is painted black with a lighter tan sole and is not noticeable except close up.  Although this doll has several flaws, she is a wonderful doll in what appears to be original body and clothing, which is quite hard to find.
Age: 1860s give or take 10 years.
Condition: Used with wear. Since her clothing is sewn on up to her upper shoulders, I am limited on what I can see and I will not take her clothing off since it is very fragile. I have repaired some of the black lace best to my ability. Clothing is soiled, aged and deteriorating (especially the silk and lace).  The right hand is on the left arm and the left hand is on the right arm. Factory flaws of dot of black paint and imperfections of porcelain and glaze. Right foot had broken off and was repaired using a molding compound many years ago. Hair has paint chips and front of shoulder-plate has a hair-line which goes up the neck but not into the head. Crazing in glaze which can be expected due to age.
